Tough loss 11-10 v Canada

Shoot.

Great game, but a goal with a minute left cost us the W.

Canada scored 8 of their 11 goals right on the crease on goal left.
Canada did a bit better than us on the turnovers and faceoffs.

Our clears and goalkeeping were right on. Offense kept us ahead by one most of the second half. Goals came from Haroldson, Anderson, Beall, Fritz, Clayton, Rich, Clayton, Frank, Beall and Pihl.

Officiating was a bit more confused than yesterday as one of the refs was new from Japan.

A few of the calls were reversed.

Canada - lots of box helmets and lefties out there

This morning's game is against Canada, a team from Mimico Ontario. They have at least 3 lefthanders on offense and one of their goalies is a left hander.

We've watched them defeat both England Red and England White. They are a solid team and may be our toughest opponent.

All our boys are taking them seriously, everyone was back to the dorms early last night are well rested and while respectful of the opposition, quitely confident.

Let's go.

More details on Vermont

Vermont was a solid team comprise of nearly all rising Juniors.
They came out strong and probably had 8 shots before we even got it down to our side. They scored first and won most of the faceoffs and ground balls in the first quarter.

However, after they threw their haymakers and connected a few times, that was it. We rolled with the punches and came back with our own. Our clears worked well our middies had plenty of juice and attack was pinpoint accurate. Basically refused to let them settle on either defense or offense, kept things unsettled and stayed one step ahead.
